Over the past decade, the work that has brought me the most joy — and created the greatest value for clients — is helping companies and leaders transform internal and external events into experiences that connect deeply and move audiences.
My superpowers are experience design, speaker curation, talent booking, and storytelling. I help shape events that feel as intentional and inspiring as a TED Conference. I also work closely with executives and thought leaders to develop talks for some of the world’s biggest stages — often starting from a blank page — so they can truly own their moment in front of employees, investors, or entire industries.
In addition to coaching speakers, I’ve hosted panel discussions and fireside chats with innovators such as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, as well as leading voices across business, science, and technology. I especially love working behind the scenes to transform what might otherwise be “filler content” into the most memorable moments of a conference.
To date, I’ve helped develop and write more than 150 TED talks, several of which have appeared on TED.com or been selected as TED Editor’s Picks. My flagship event, TEDxKC, is one of the world's largest and longest-running TEDx events — often selling out 3,000 seats in under ten minutes, with livestream audiences of 20,000 and broadcasts on Kansas City’s PBS station.
Beyond live events, I’ve produced dozens of online programs for audiences ranging from 5,000 to 30,000, including a 10-part learning series for Atlantic columnist and Harvard professor Arthur Brooks, and self-paced online learning for Ford and Kimberly-Clark.
I’ve also developed or produced episodic events and large-scale meetings for brands ranging from Mazda and Colgate-Palmolive to the University of Kansas.
Occasionally, I teach a public speaking masterclass, helping individuals and teams elevate their presentation and storytelling skills.
Before launching my independent practice, I spent 20 years with VML, the world’s largest advertising agency. I’ve also worked for GE, Apple, and Iomega, and consulted for multi-platinum recording artists.
A patent holder and father of four, I live in Telluride, Colorado, where I continue to help organizations and leaders craft the stories and experiences that move people — and ideas — forward.
